Thomas Gomart
Thomas Gomart (born 13 March 1973) is a French historian of international relations (History – Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne) and the director of IFRI ([http://www.ifri.org/index.php Institut français des relations internationales]) since 2015. He was previously vice-president for strategic development at IFRI, and director of the Russia/NIS Center and of the trilingual electronic collection Russie.NEI.Visions in English.A Lavoisier Fellow at the State Institute for International Relations (University-MGIMO – Moscow), visiting fellow at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (Paris) and Marie Curie Fellow at [http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/sspp/ws Department of War Studies] (King’s College – London), Gomart writes on Russia and the post-Soviet area, especially the Russia-EU-USA relations and Russian civil-military relations.
