Euphemia Vale Blake

"[[A Woman of the Century]]" Euphemia Vale Blake (, Vale; pen names, E. Vale Smith and E. Vale Blake; 7 May 1817 – 21 October 1904) was a British-born American author and critic. She wrote extensively for the ''North American Review'', the ''Christian Examiner'', the ''Boston Evening Transcript'', and other well-known publications. From 1857, she lived in Brooklyn, engaged in journalism.
