The purpose of the graduation thesis was to determine whether the use of Cyclodekstrins can successfully remove ibuprofen from water. To remove ibuprofen from water we used two different procedures and then compare them with each other. We tried to figure out which method is more appropriate and more effective in the removal of ibuprofen. Values of ibuprofen was monitored by using a UV/VIS spectrophotometer. We measured the absorbance with spectrophotometer. For the first procedure β – Cyclodekstrins were dissolved in water. A solution of β – Cyclodekstrins were mixed at various concentrations with a solution of ibuprofen. Then we measured spectra of solution. With spectra we can determine how much the absorbance of ibuprofen in water decreased. For the second procedure we used β – Cyclodekstrins bound to the textile substrate. According to a specific procedure treated textiles were cut into small pieces
