The download works, just be patient. *** Wissen schaffen vis a vis (Creating knowledge vis a vis) with Dr. Frigga Kruse is a short film about a scientific expedition to Spitsbergen (Svalbard, Norway) in August 2022 and the zooarchaeological remains (animal bones) that were the focus of the fieldwork. Kruse contemplates how scientists can bridge the gap between their Arctic adventures and the expectations of society at large. The expedition was part of the Timeless Arctic Project (2018-2023, timelessarctic.org). It was funded by the Volkswagen Foundations and supported by the Universities of Kiel, Bonn, Trondheim, and Bremen.
