Malar space 0.7–0.9× as long as basal mandibular width (Fig. 44).Antennal flagellum tapered towards apex. Notaulus distinct, with irregular wrinkles (Fig. 44). Foveate groove of mesopleuron deep and long, distinctly upcurved anteriorly, with transverse wrinkles (Fig. 45). Propodeal spiracle moderately large, separated from pleural carina by 1.5–2.0× diameter of spiracle (Figs 44, 45). First tergite smooth laterally and dorsally (Figs 44, 46); postpetiole in dorsal view much wider than petiole; glymma large, joining by distinct furrow to ventral part of postpetiole (Figs 44, 46). Predominantly black species with metasoma posterior to first tergite and all legs (except coxae) predominantly yellowish brown to reddish brown (Fig. 43). Remarks. Female from Kumakogen, Ehime Pref. possesses abnormal first metasomal tergite which is abruptly curved posteriorly in lateral view (Fig. 46) and has a pair of strong spiracular prominences (Fig. 48). Another female from Ehime Pref. bears a parasitic larva of a mite belonging to Parasitengona (Acariformes: Trombidiformes) on dorsolateral side of the fifth tergite (Figs 43, 49). Distribution.
