Borneo” (Sarawak, Ma- laysia). This species is monotypic. Distribution. N, C & W Borneo Mts. Descriptive notes. Head-body mean 154 mm (males) and 152 mm (females), tail mean 112 mm (males) and 122 mm (females); weight mean 124 g (males) and 132-5 g (females). Dorsum of Brooke's Squirrel is speckled brown and venter is gray with an orange patch between hindlegs. Tips of ventral hair are whitish. Tail is barred. Habitat. Tall forests on hill ranges at elevations of ¢.600-1500 m. Food and Feeding. There is no information available for this species. Breeding. There is no information available for this species. Activity patterns. There is no specific information available for this species, but Brooke's Squirrel is diurnal and arboreal. Movements, Home range and Social organization. Brooke's Squirrel has relatively a large and stable population in Kinabalu Park.
