CryoGridLite: Model code for pan-Arctic simulations at 1° resolution from 1700 to 2020

Summary: | CryoGridLite is a lightweight version of the more complex and process-rich CryoGrid Community model ( Westermann et al. 2022 ). This version of the model has been used for pan-Arctic simulations of permafrost thermal dynamics at 1°-by-1° spatial resolution spanning the period from 1700 to 2020. Two scientific articles are currently under review which building upon these simulations: Langer, M. et al. (2022). The evolution of Arctic permafrost over the last three centuries. Nitzbon, J. et al. (2022). Quantifying the Permafrost Heat Sink in Earth's Climate System. This archive contains the following:
./src
The source code of the model.
./input
Example input files for a single grid cell (Lon 126°E, Lat. 72°N)
./run_CryoGridLite.jl
A wrapper script to execute the model.
./README.md
A readme file containing instructions how to run the model. Input data required for pan-Arctic simulations can be found here: 10.5281/zenodo.6619212 Output data of pan-Arctic simulations presented in the articles above can be found here: 10.5281/zenodo.6619260 |
