This dataset contains the post-processed data used in the journal article "Persistent freshening of the Arctic Ocean and changes in the North Atlantic salinity caused by Arctic sea ice decline", published in Climate Dynamics. https://doi.org/10.1007/s00382-021-05850-5 The "PreInd_gx3v7_al?" files contain model data from the low-resolution (3˚ ocean grid) sea ice perturbation experiments; The "PreInd_T31_gx3v7*" files contain model data from the low-resolution control simulation. The "PreInd_f19_*" are files form the higher resolution (1˚ ocean grid) model output. The "PreInd_f19_gx1v6_alb*" files contain output from the sea ice perturbation experiments; The "PreInd_f19_*hosing*" and "PreInd_f19_g16_control*" are data from the hosing experiments and the control experiment, respectively.
