The approach is adapted from Li et al., (2021; https://doi.org/10.1017/jog.2021.28 ). The dataset provides estimates of the fraction (0 to 1) of land cover that is glaciated in each 0.1° x 0.1° grid cell. The dataset was designed for use in the SPEAR model ( https://www.gfdl.noaa.gov/spear/ ) from the NOAA Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL), but may be useful for other applications as well.
