Remarks. The Pseudotanais affinis -group of species was discussed by Bird & Holdich (1989a), who demonstrated that P. affinis sensu stricto is a cold-water species, recorded from off North Greenland, the Kara Sea, Davis Strait, the Norwegian Sea and the Faeroe-Shetland Channel, at depths between 40 and 2970 m. The present records add nothing to that distribution.
