Male abdomen. 2 nd acrotergite with trunk horizontal, anterior processes stout and large, neck about half as long as trunk width. 2 nd tergal apodeme reaching 1 / 2 of tergite posteriorly. 1 st sternal apodeme with posterior lobes as long as wide. 2 nd sternal apodeme reduced. Male genitalia. Aedeagal shaft base broad with lateral flanges, distinctly swollen, broadest near mid length in lateral view, apex narrow; apical appendages divergent. Material examined. Europe to Kamchatka, south to Mongolia (Kwon 1988) and China (Hebei, Jilin, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang). Remarks. The treatment of M. latiaedeagus Dai, Li & Chen 2008 as a synonym is based on the same type localities and following characters: forewing elongate, surpassing end of abdomen; aedeagal shaft distinctly swollen and broadest near midlength in lateral view.
