Male abdomen. 2 nd acrotergite with trunk horizontal, anterior processes stout and large, neck about half as long as trunk width. 2 nd tergal apodeme reaching 1 / 2 of tergite posteriorly. 1 st sternal apodeme with posterior lobes as long as wide. 2 nd sternal apodeme reduced. Male genitalia. Aedeagal shaft base broad with lateral flanges, distinctly swollen, broadest near mid length in lateral view, apex narrow; apical appendages divergent. Material examined. CHINA: 5 males, Hebei Prov., Weichang County, Jiangjiadian Township, 12.viii. 2006, Coll. Duan Yani; 9 males, 2 females, Jilin Prov., Hongtu Landscape, 2.viii. 1983, Coll. Wu Zhengliang & Hua Baozhen; 1 male, Shaanxi Prov., Mt. Qinling, 10.ix. 1987, Coll. Chai Yonghui; 1 male, 10 males, 5 females, Gansu Prov., Daheba County, 30.vii.2004, 1870m, Coll. Lu Lin & Duan Yani; 18 maels, 20 femailes, Qinghai Prov. Xining City, Botanic Garden, 15.viii. 2012; 28 males, 30 females, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, Bole City, Cimaogou Township, 26.vii. 2006, Coll. Liu Yang & Yang Rui (NWAFU). Distribution. Europe to Kamchatka, south to Mongolia (Kwon 1988) and China (Hebei, Jilin, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang). Remarks. The treatment of M. latiaedeagus Dai, Li & Chen 2008 as a synonym is based on the same type localities and following characters: forewing elongate, surpassing end of abdomen; aedeagal shaft distinctly swollen and broadest near midlength in lateral view.
