Zooids attached to substratum by basal plate from which pseudostolons grow. The basal plate may be reduced so that the zooid arises directly from pseudostolon. Type species. Emschermannia ramificata sp. nov. Etymology. Emschermannia is named in honor of Dr Peter Emschermann, who provided the modern classification of Entoprocta.
