Description
Summary:* Betaeus lilianae Boschi, 1966 Recorded along the coasts of Argentina and Uruguay approximately between 38°00'S and 41°00'S, just north of the Magellanic Province (Boschi 1966; Boschi et al. 1992); intertidal to shallow subtidal. Its biology was studied by Baeza et al. (2010). Anosov (2012) stated that this species occur on the Patagonian shelf (i.e. further south) down to 168 m; which is herein considered in error as the specimen photographed is clearly the same as the specimen of Betaeus truncatus recorded from South Georgia by Marin & Anosov (2014) and correctly identified by the latter.
