Summary:In 2019 two new species for the Silesian Ornithological Region – Long-billed Dowitcher Limnodromus scolopaceus and Black-shouldered Kite Elanus caeruleus were recorded. Other interesting findings were: the 5th record of Ring- -necked Duck Aythya collaris, 7th record of Rosy Starling Pastor roseus in present times and 9th record of Rock Pipit Anthus petrosus. Worth noticing are also: the first breeding attempt after 40 years by Great White Egret Ardea alba and the 3rd breeding case of Ural Owl Strix uralensis. At the end of 2019 r. the checklist of birds of the Silesian Ornithological Region comprised 387 species.
