Maria Cornthwaite reports that all of these fish were caught in a single tow (that contained an unusually large number of this species), on 2 August 2009, south-east of Cape Saint James, British Columbia. The field supervisor was experienced, and thus we have no reason to doubt the identifications. However, the lack of voucher specimens does give us pause.
