Depth: intertidal to 311 m (1,020 ft) (min.: Eschmeyer and Herald 1983; max.: Mejía-Ladino et al. 2007). Previously as Antennarius avalonis (Jordan & Starks, 1907), named changed by Arnold and Pietsch (2012).
