Gulf of California (McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995) to southern tip of Baja California (McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995) to Colombia (Grove and Lavenberg 1997), including Islas Galápagos (Grove and Lavenberg 1997).
