Europe, Russia (Kaliningrad region, European Northwest region, Central part of the European Russia, European south taiga region, Crimea, Western Caucasus, Don region, Volga region, South Ural, South of Western Siberia, Krasnoyarsk region, Pre– Altai region, Amur region, Primorsky region, South Kurile Islands), Asia Minor, Transcaucasia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China (Fischer von Röslerstamm 1839; Razowski 1970, 2002, 2009; Kuznetzov 1978; Budashkin 2009; Sinev et al. 2019). Almost all of these records require confirmation, as they may refer to broadly distributed cryptic sibling species, Ph. udana (Guenée, 1845) (Mutanen et al. 2012).
