Geographic distribution: South America. Chilean references: González-Acuña et al. (2008a); Moreno & González-Acuña (2015); González-Acuña & Moreno (2018); this catalogue. Other significant references: Emerson (1967); Price et al. (2003). Remarks: Isla Gonzalo is a new locality record for Acutifrons megalopterus in Chile, based on one sample from Phalcoboenus megalopterus held in MONZ.
