Opistognathus punctatus Peters, 1869. Finespotted Jawfish . To 40.6 cm (16.2 in) TL (Thomson et al. 1979). Bahía San Ignacio, southern Baja California (Danemann and De La Cruz-Agüero 1993) into northern Gulf of California to Colombia (Robertson and Allen 2015).
