Summary:Clinocottus analis (Girard, 1858). Woolly Sculpin . To 17.8 cm (7 in) TL (Miller and Lea 1972). Cape Mendocino, northern California (Eschmeyer and Herald 1983) to Punta Abreojos, southern Baja California (Ruiz-Campos et al. 2010b) and Isla de Cedros, central Baja California (Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California). Benthic; depth: intertidal to 18 m (60 ft) (Miller and Lea 1972). This species is likely not in the genus Clinocottus (Knope 2013). Clinocottus ( Clinocottus ) analis (Buser and López 2015).
