Summary:Ophiophrura tripapillata (Stöhr & Segonzac, 2005) Reports for the Azores: Ophioscolex tripapillatus $ St̂hr & Segonzac, 2005: 385–388, fig. 3. Type locality: Near Menez Gwen, Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Azores (37°50’56”N, 31°30’40”W). See: St̂hr & Segonzac (2005). Occurrence: Northeast Atlantic, known only from the Azores, the Bay of Biscay, and Iceland (St̂hr & Segonzac 2005). Depth: 1,015–1,500 m (AZO: 1,015 m; St̂hr & Segonzac 2005). Habitat: hard substrates (oxidized basalt), with other benthic fauna ( e.g., sponges, bryozoans, brachiopods and tunicates; St̂hr & Segonzac 2005). Remarks: St̂hr & Segonzac (2005) described Ophioscolex tripapillatus , based on a specimen collected in the vicinity of Menez Gwen, southwest of the Azores. This species is known only from five specimens, collected from widely separated localities.
