Material examined. Three syntypes NHM UK 2013.1090-1092, Stn 320: Atlantic, Southwest (off Rio La Plata, Argentina); 1097 m. Found together with S. parallelogramma Hoek, 1883; attached to a sclerodermous zoantharian. Supplementary description. Young (1992). Distribution. Atlantic, Southwest and Antarctic; Pacific, Antarctic;?Pacific, Western Central. Known depth range (135?) 370 to 1097 m. Habitat. On corals and polychaete tubes.
