Dates of signatory to international policy (conventions and agreements of organisations) relevant to controlling invasive alien species. Dates of signatory for RCW and WTO are adjusted to date of relevant resolutions. International agreements and conventions: Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (CPB), Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), The Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat (RCW), Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of wild animals (CMS), World Trade Organisation agreements (WTO), Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty (PEPAT), United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), Convention on International Civil Aviation (CICA) and International Maritime Organisation agreements (IMO). These data were used as a global indicator of policy response to the invasive alien species problem.
