As A. antarcticum : Hear Island (Australia) (135m), off South Georgia (54°21’S, 35°58’W, 144–164 m) and Cape Armitage, Ross Island, Antarctica (Wright & Studer 1889; Verseveldt & Ofwegen 1992); Franklin Island (76°10’S, 168°30’E, 79 m) (Ross Sea) (Hickson 1902); off Mt. Erebus (Ross Sea) (328 m), Ross Sea (42–407 m) (Hickson 1907); Burdwood bank (Molander 1929; present study). This is the first record at MPA Namuncurá I, Burdwood bank. Remarks: Colonies of A. antarcticum examined are similar to A. sollasi in growth form, but differ in having capstans sparsely tuberculate and tentacle bases without clubs.
