Type locality: Australasia, Australia, Queensland, Prince of Wales Island. Type most likely mislabeled. Examined specimens: 1³, Indonesia : Java, 2001-II (IZCAS);5 ³, Malaysia : Saba, TrusMadi Mt.; N 5.4428°, E116.4514°; 1180m; 2017- IV-5 ~9; Chao Wu leg. (CWC). 1♀, ditto. (CJZ). Body medium-sized. Pronotum short, bumpy, with distinct transverse sulcus on disc. Lateral lobes of pronotum with sharply angular apex (Fig. 6A). Stridulatory file of left tegmen slim, elongated, nearly straight, only curved at the tapering basal part, about 3.27–3.31 mm long, with 54–58 densely arranged teeth. Stridulatory teeth densely arranged, with those in basal area obsolescent, and those in distal area weak (Fig. 8A). Cerci obviously introvert, densely hairy, with obtuse granulated apex (Fig. 6D). Coloration. Generally brown, with irregular black spots. Antennae brown, with not obvious irregular sandybeige markings. Hind wings blackish violet, scattered with round rose spots; venation white, and apical area brown. Legs with dark brown spots. Cerci yellowish brown, with inner black middle part and apex. Measurements (mm). length of pronotum: ³ 6.15–6.23, ♀ 5.91; height of pronotum: ³ 5.90–6.15, ♀ 6.87; length of tegmen: ³ 40.80–40.95, ♀ 46.1; width of tegmen: ³ 8.95–8.98, ♀ 9.39; length of anterior femur: ³ 5.20–5.25, ♀ 5.47; length of posterior femur: ³ 15.60–15.65, ♀ 16.02; length of posterior tibiae: ³15.42–15.48, ♀ 15.53. length ovipositor: 9.32.
