Description
Summary:The study is devoted to film tourism to expand the traditional and creative tourism potential of a region. The objects of such tourism are filming locations, places depicted in the film (even if the filming was not done there) or film-related festival venues, the lives of prominent figures in cinema, etc. The potential of this type of tourism is still completely invaluable. Fans of cinema and television are willing to pay money in order to visit the filming locations of their favorite films. Considering the peculiarities of film tourism, the authors set a goal to develop a tour proving the possibility of developing the tourist potential of the Republic of Karelia through film tourism. To achieve this goal, new methods of analyzing the film industry and film tourism were used, in particular, methods for identifying film locations within the region and assessing their tourist attractiveness, the result was the development of a cinematic tour of the Northern Ladoga region. To determine the demand for this tourist service and identify its potential consumers, a survey of respondents was conducted, thanks to which interest in the filming locations of films and the possible average amount of financial expenses for a vacation were revealed. The scientific novelty of the work is determined by the novelty of the topic under consideration in Russian science and a large degree of practical implementation of the results of the study, which proves the possibility of the development of film tourism in Karelia.
