Summary:Odontella litigiosa (Van Heurck) Hoban (Figures 24–26) Literature: (Hoban et al. 1980, p. 598, figs. 27–38; Scott and Thomas 2005, p. 48, fig. 2.20a–f). Description: Valve length 21–56 µm, width 10–24 µm. Remarks: O. litigiosa was one of the most common species in Potter Cove and observed in every sample examined, mostly in its anthropomorpha and litigiosa phases (Al-Handal and Wulff 2008a). Ecology and distribution: A marine Antarctic species, either found in the plankton, on the sediment or as epiphytic (Al-Handal and Wulff 2008a). Common in Potter Cove.
