Summary: | Paralia sulcata (Ehrenberg) Cleve (Figure 18) Literature: (Hendey 1964, p. 73, pl. 23, fig. 5; Witkowski et al. 2000, p. 37, pl. 8, figs. 10, 11). Description: Diameter 33–34 µm. Ecology and distribution: A marine benthic species, often found in the plankton. Widely distributed in the Northern Hemisphere from the Arctic to the equator (Witkowski et al. 2000), also reported in sediment cores from the Ross Sea, Antarctica (Nishimura et al. 1998). Only two specimens were observed in the samples from Potter Cove.
