Summary: | Lampropteryx minna (Butler) (Fig. 44) Material examined. 1 ♀, S Kholmsk, 08.VII.2019; 1 ♂, Yasnomorskoe, 19.VII.2019. Distribution. Russia (S RFE: SW * Sakhalin, S Kurils—Iturup and Kunashir, S Khabarovskii Krai, S Amurskaya Oblast, Primorskii Krai), Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu), North Korea, South Korea, NE China (eastern Inner Mongolia),? Mongolia. Remarks. The finding of L. minna in Sakhalin significantly expands its distribution range to the northeast. The larval hostplant in Japan is Galium (Rubiaceae). Recently Enkhtur et al. (2020) noted L. minna from Mongolia by citing Vojnits (1979), Scoble (1999) and the GBIF. However, the report of a single male of L. minna from the west of N Mongolia (Khövsgöl Aimag: Vojnits 1979: 209; and subsequently Viidalepp 1996: 27) needs to be verified, as actually this species is not yet known west from the Amur and NE China. The reference in Scoble (1999) is based on the incorrect treatment of the name ‡ Cidaria suffumata minor Staudinger, which actually is nomen nudum , and the “ type ” specimen associated with this name is actually E. silaceata originating from Buryatia (Russia), but not from Mongolia (see Beljaev 2016: 621–622). The reference to the GBIF is wrong as this site does not contain data on L. minna from this country. Thus, there are no reliable data on the distribution of L. minna in Mongolia.
