Comibaena amoenaria : Beljaev & Mironov 2019: 254 (Sakhalin). Material examined. 1 ♂,Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, STAZR, 12.VIII.2008; 1♂, 3♀, S Kholmsk, 21.VII.2017, 28.VII.2018, 21.VII. 2021, 22.VII.2022; 5 ♂, 4 ♀, Yasnomorskoe and Sokhonda mount., 18, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26.VII.2019. Distribution. Russia (S RFE: S Sakhalin, S Kurils—Kunashir, S Khabarovskii Krai, S Amurskaya Oblast, Primorskii Krai; S Siberia east to Baikal region), Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tsushima), North Korea, South Korea, N China (Beijing Shi: BOLD Sequence ID: GWOTL766-13, as “ Comibaena cassidara ”: Makhov & Lukhtanov 2021). Remarks. The finding of C. amoenaria in Sakhalin significantly expands its distribution range to the northeast. Probably, the reference of the continental species C. tancrei for Sakhalin (Viidalepp 1979) is based on the erroneous identification of C. amoenaria as a result of the external resemblance of the moths. In Japan the larvae feed on various species of Fagaceae ( Quercus serrata , Q. crispula , Fagus crenata , Lithocarpus edulis ), and on Salix babylonica (Salicaceae). Possibly, they are polyphagous on various leaved trees, considering the species distribution in S Siberia, where Fagaceae are absent. In Sakhalin the moths fly from mid-July to mid-August, the species develops in one generation. Published as part of Beljaev, Еvgeniy A. & Titova, Olga L., 2023, New data on geometroid moths (Lepidoptera: Geometroidea: Uraniidae and Geometridae) from Sakhalin and Moneron islands with notes on their taxonomy distribution and ecology, pp. 1-41 in Zootaxa 5369 (1) on page 13, DOI:10.11646/zootaxa.5369.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/10147411 Other/Unknown Material Sakhalin Siberia Zenodo
