Summary: | Abstract Application of defence technologies have been developed by camouflage engineering and combat engineering. Camouflage engineering has been focused by the optical physics in ultraviolet-visible-infrared (UV-Vis-IR) spectrums. An applied branch of camouflage engineering has been experimented for versatile ranges of combat engineering and combat backgrounds such as dry leaves, green leaves, tree bark-woodland combat background; water-marine combat background; sand-desertland combat background; stone-stoneland combat background; snow-snowland combat background; sky combat background and ice-iceland combat background, concrete-concreteland combat background (DGTWSICB). Color matching principle and reflection principle have been prioritized to satisfy the camouflage engineering and combat engineering in terms of concealment, detection, recognition and identification (CDRI) of target signature. CDRI principle of camouflage textiles and camouflage materials have been opined for the materials of multidimensional combat backgrounds. Optical interferences of camouflage textiles have also been focused to eliminate contrast chromatic nature against DGTWSICB. Imaging principle of digital camera, infrared camera and hyperspectral camera between target signature and combat background have been trialed both in laboratory and field experimentation.
