Collection consists of digitized photographic slides of geographic features, settlement patterns, dwellings and agricultural markings taken by John Warkentin in the course of his activities as a physical geographer, mostly of Manitoba in the 1950s and 1960s, Greenland in the 1950s and Toronto in the early 2000s. Digitization by researcher request. Digital material represents approximately 90% of total collection. Digitization of sample of content for pilot project funded in part through NiCHE in 2012 and a Young Canada Works grant in 2012. Subsequent digitization made possible through York University Libraries resources and funding.
