Summary: | Earth's ionosphere, a natural plasma, is locally similar to nighttime conditions during asolar eclipse, in that the Moon blocks solar radiation and causes extremely complex andnonlinear processes. It is known that the peak electron density (NmF2) of the F2 layerwith maximum ionization varies non-linearly depending on solar activity F10.7 solar flux, geomagnetic field, geographic latitude and longitude, local time and season. In this study, the variation of NmF2 and hmF2 during the annular solar eclipse of 10 June 2021 wasinvestigated theoretically and the results were compared with TR170 URSI codeddigisonde data in Tromsø.
