Two mythical islands sit in the most northern part shown of the Atlantic, Brasil and Frisland. The map is highly detailed and decorative, listing three names for the Pacific Ocean, and dotting the seas with engravings of ships and sea monsters. The left and right side features engravings of the Native American dress from Greenland to the southern point of South America. Eight illustrations of cities spread across the top of the map, showing the plans for the largest cities in the New World.
