Summary: | An English and updated version of d'Anville's 1746 map "Amérique Septentrionale Publiée sous les Auspices de Monseigneur le Duc d'Orleans Prémier Prince du Sang." It depicts forts, cities, rivers, lakes, mountains, and Native American tribes. The borders between French, British, Spanish, and (in this updated version) American claims are hand painted. An inset map of Hudson and Baffin Bay sits in the upper left corner. Despite there existing more knowledge on the western interior of North America by 1791 (both real and erroneous) Harrison follows d'Anville's 1746 map, leaving the space blank and labeling it "Great space of Land unknown."
