This map gets its informal name of The Codfish Map from the detailed and informative illustration of fishing at Newfoundland which includes the steps taken from catching the fish to drying them. The cartouche is elaborately decorated with images of Native Americans, Europeans, trees and grains. The map includes ten small inset maps of various bays and harbors. Moll's pro-British bias comes through particularly well in this map, especially in his labeling the Atlantic Ocean as "Sea of the British Empire." Various little blocks of text provide interesting information alongside the geographical names.
