KETCHIKAN SALMON CANNERY IS BURNED. KETCHIKAN, Alaska, March 22. -- (/P) -- Fire breaking out at 3 a. m. today destroyed the cannery and warehouse buildings of the Sunny Point Packing Co. here owned by the Skinner & Eddy interests of Seattle. The loss was estimated at $250,000, including machinery and 15,000 cases of salmon. The fire raged tour hours before it was brought under control. SEATTLE, March 22. --(/P)--Gilbert Skinner, one of the owners of the cannery plant which burned at Ketchikan today, said it would be rebuilt at once to be ready for the coming season. The destroyed buildings were built about five years ago and packed from 100,000 to 110,000 cases of salmon each season.
