Eskimo, Youths Unconscious; No Doctor Needed! BETHEL, Alaska, Saturday, April 10.—A menlnigitis epidemic scare has ended in headaches for two Eskimo youths. Ted. Lambert, painter of Alaska native scenes, found the Eskimos unconscious beside a trial near his home. He draped them over a wheelbarrow and pushed them to a government nurse. Her diagnosis was indefinite and arrangements were being made to rush a doctor here by airplane. Returning home, however, Lambert discovered a quart of gin missing. He hustled back to the Eskimos, sniffed them carefully and diagnosed their cases as: "Too much gin." Text eskimo* Alaska Washington State University: WSU Libraries Digital Collections Pacific
