BARROW ESKIMOS VIEW FIRST TUX BARROW, Alaska, Feb. 28 (AP)- Formal evening attire, worn for the first time in this little settlement on the Arctic ocean's shore, left Eskimos gasping today. Charles D. Brower, trader, known as the "king of the Arctic," said he had never seen such swank at Barrow as was exhibited by Dr. H. W. Maurer, government surgeon and the few white women who were guests at Sergeant Stanley Morgan's birthday party. Dr. Maurer, dressed in a tuxedo knee-length fur boots and fur parka and cap, arrived by dog team "taxi. The women came in evening gowns and fur boots.
