NOME, Alaska, Sept. 20. (/P) — A federal emergency relief special committee named by Governor John W. Troy of Alaska and headed by Grant R. Jackson, Nome banker, met today to plan reconstruction after Nome's $3,000,000 fire Monday. In its general aspects the situation here was unchanged, with residents making the best of things until building materials and supplies arrive from the south. The government has allotted $50,000 in FERA funds for direct assistance. Pilot Oscar Winchell arrived from Anchorage yesterday with Robert Searce, relief radio telegraph operator, and Robert Wakelin of Seattle, wholesale merchandise representative. Weather permitting, they planned to leave for Anchorage today. Another radio operator has been brought lere from Candle to relieve the Nome itaff, which has been working day md night since the fire.
