NORTH STAR DELIVERING SUPPLIES FOR ESKIMOS Barrow, Alaska, Sept. 7 —(/P)—The motorship North Star began distribution of food supplies to eastern points today where Eskimos were reported starving. The mercury dropped below the freezing point and snow fell intermittently throughout the day. Two inches of snow fell yesterday. The Presbyterian missionary hospital was officially turned over to the bureau of Indian affairs. A farewell church service was held for Dr. H. W. Greist, missionary-in-charge of the hospital, who is retiring and will return south.
