Description
Summary:"Flu" Epidemic At Fort Yukon Wanes. 'Flu' Epidemic At Fort Yukon Wanes FORT YUKON, Alaska, Friday, May 15.—UP)—Four weary nurses sajd they believed the influenza epidemic which reached 200 cases this week was on the wane, with only three new cases reported yesterday. The epidemic struck shortly before the Yukon River ice broke Sunday midnight, sending water and huge chunks of ice into the streets. The water at some points was eight feet deep. Six natives died of the disease.
