GOLD LURES GREAT THRONGS Steamers Sailing for Alaska Have Every Berth Filled. SEATTLE, March 25. (AP)—Crowded steamers sailing for Alaska the last few days from Seattle and Vancouver, B. C. give further indication that the administration's $35 an ounce gold price is going to make 1934 an outstanding year in the history of the territory. When the steamer Victoria sailed from Seattle yesterday she carried 325 passengers, every berth filled. More than 2000 persons were at the pier to see her sail and cheer on the adventurous ones. On board the Princess Norah when she left Vancouver, B. C, for Skagway Friday night were mining and business men, engineers, carpenters, laborers, joiners and millwrights. The motorship Northland sailing from Seattle Monday and the Norco on April 2 have their Jists filled. Text Skagway Alaska Washington State University: WSU Libraries Digital Collections Pacific
