(/P) -- Plans of the United States weather bureau to make a scientific study of the relation of Alaskan volcanic eruptions and earthquakes wree divulged here today with the arrival of Professor T. A. Jaggar, volcanologist of the Hawaiian volcano observatory. Professor Jaggar will be here for several weeks superintending installation of seismographs and other instruments for recording and measuring earth disturbances and then will leave for Dutch Harbor, in the Aleutian islands, off southwestern Alaska, where other apparatus will be installed. In recent years volcanic eruptions and earthquakes of distrubing violence have become increasingly frequent along the Aleutians and the Alaska peninsula.
