With the weight of 17 years hanging over his grizzled head, Old Sye died yesterday at his kennel in Brookside zoo. Bladder stones and complications were given as the immediate cause of Old Sye and his teammates were brought to Brookside zoo in 1927 after school children had contributed pennies to purchase the dogs from a Los Angeles museum. The string cost $2000.
