(/P)—The Eskimo dog team driver Kigatelluk was believed here today to have won the 158-mile all-Alaska Nome-Golovin derby with the unofficial running time of 13 hours 42 minutes and 20 seconds. Another native driver, Fred Topkok, was first to cross the finish line after the long mush, but his time was computed to be 14 hours 11 minutes, with the defending champion, Al Carey, crossing the finish 21 minutes behind Topkok. Dr. Braafladt came in 9 minutes behind. Carey. The derby started at 8 a. m. yesterday with a 12-hour layover in Golovin.
