(/P)— A dog sled today proved more reliable than the airplane as a means of travel in Alaska. When a plane piloted by A. II. Bennet, carrying Deputy Sheriff Dudney and his wife, was forced down with engine trouble 40 miles from Eagle, which is 200 miles cast of here, the engine and passengers were loaded in a dog sled and they mushed to Eagle, where the engine will be repaired. They will mush back to the plane and continue the flight to Fairbanks, which they expect to reach Sunday.
