Sleeping In Cabin of Plane 'Not So Hot' In Middle of August JUNEAU, Alaska, Aug. J2 (/P)—Take it from Sigismund Levanevsky, famed Russian Arctic aviator, and his navigator, Victor Levchenko, it's cold sleeping out in the cabin of an airplane in August. That was their only expressed reaction here today after being downed by bad weather twice in British Columbia waters and once yesterday in Ketchikan. The airmen, en route from Alameda, Calif., to Siberia on a scientific data-gathering flight, arrived here last evening one hour and 45 minutes after taking off from Ketchikan on a 225-mile hop. Poor visibility and a light rain held them at Ketchikan from 12:53 to 5:01 p. m., after they had flown fro-m Swanson Bay, B. C, where they hopped Sunday from Bella Bella, B. C. Weather permitting, Levanevsky told Juneau friends, he plan to fly to Fairbanks today.
