Nome Next Stop for Russ Fliers Fairbanks, Alaska, Aug. 12.—(/P)— Sigismund Levanevsky and Victor Levchenko, scientific-minded Russian flyers, prepared tonight for tomorrow's hop to Nome en route from San Pedro, Calif., to Moscow, Russia. They were lionlized last night and today by this air-minded community after their arrival at Harding lake from Juneau. Several hundred persons, including Mrs. Wiley Post, greeted them at the lake and again at an informal dinner attended by about 20 Alaskan flyers and civic officials, throughout their Fan-bank's stay they have been beseiged by women and children autograph collecTORS. Through an interpreter, H. B. Avakoff, the Russians said they probably will fly from Nome to North Cape thence along the Arctic coast or over the Arctic sea to the Kara sea, en route to Moscow. From Juneau they flew straight to Harding lake, crossing the mountains and following the Tanana river in their pontoon-equipped monoplane. As in Ketchikan and Juneau, they remarked on the beauty and grandeur of Alaska from the air.
